Recipe??
|
|
For the first time..with full support from my teacher in Erfurt, I put an entry on cooking today....
Kak Ina, remember when we had this sagoo at Mdm Ravinder's place during your stay in Cologne last year?? I take the recipe from a book titled "Flavours of Malaysia" by Tourism Malaysia. Great for dessert during hot summer day.
Sagoo Pudding With Palm Sugar
1.5 litres water
200g (1 cup) sagoo pearls
200g palm sugar
150ml (2/3 cup) water
-->simmer till syrup is thick. Cool before using
200ml (3/4) thick coconut milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
-->bring coconut milk to boil and turn off the flame. Stir salt into the milk. Cool before using
Method:
~ Bring the water to boil in a deep pan and add sagoo pearls.
~ Stir to keep the sagoo separated
~ Allow to boil under medium heat for 10 minutes
~ Turn off the flame and cover the lid.
~ Set aside for 10 minutes
~ Scoop into moulds (rinse the mould well for easier to unmould)
~ Chill well
~ To serve, unmould and top with coconut sauce and palm sugar syrup
And now, daging masak merah. Very the very easy version....
Just blend: Onion, garlic, ginger, galangal, lemon grass and dried chillies. (Amount: agak-agak aje la...)
Then, tumis. Garing, masukkan daging yg telah dihiris halus.
Daging dah empuk, masukkan sos cili dan sos tomato
Pastu garam dan gula.
Masukkan asam keping, bwg besar dan cili potong...dan air sikit...tada...siap!!
