The original water castle from the 15th Century. It was used as the summer and hunt resort by Prince Johann William of Pfalz Neuburg.
The building is perfectly plastered and painted in pink. Personally, I think the architecture was not that impressive as it does not "look old" (I prefer the one without plaster and paint...). However, the main attraction of this castle is that the entire building is surrounded by macnificently beautiful lakes and different gardens...my favourite was The English Garden....
Prior to the castle visit, we drove along the Rhine between Cologne to Dusseldolf, then took a ferry ride from Koln-Langel to Leverkusen-Hitdorf...saja suka-suka....boleh aje kalau nak terus naik kereta pun...
